
CHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police are looking for someone who stole 32 gallons of maple syrup from a sugarhouse in the town of Baltimore.
Shepard Thomas of EC Thomas & Sons told police he found the sugarhouse door open and about $500 worth of his homemade syrup taken on Sept. 19.
The sugarhouse is next door to the Baltimore Town Hall. The Eagle Times reports several of the bottles, ranging in volume from half-pint to gallon-sized, were personally labeled.
