The old Champlain Bridge between Vermont and New York was demolished three years ago when it was deemed unsafe.
After the bridge was gone, work began to remove the remainders of the old structure and build the new Champlain Bridge. But workers made an unexpected find-- historic and archaeological artifacts.
UVM Archaeology Professor John Crock gave Kristin Carlson a tour of the site and showed her what was found. Watch the video for more.
The Chimney Point Historic Museum is open through Oct. 8, Wed.-Sun., 9:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m.
