Man charged with assaulting first responders

WEST TOPSHAM, Vt. -

A 21-year-old from Orange has been charged with assaulting medical personnel.

Police say Joshua Welch assaulted a member of the Corinth-Topsham Fast Squad early Saturday morning.

Police say it happened while members of the Fast Squad were responding to a vehicle fire on the Batten Road in West Topsham.
