LEBANON, N.H. -
A lawsuit filed by a handful of hospitals in New Hampshire is moving forward.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is among the 10 hospitals that filed the lawsuit. They are suing over the state's Medicaid payments to them, claiming inadequate reimbursements are jeopardizing access to health care for the poor.
Trustees for the hospitals say the state cut Medicaid funding by more than $130 million dollars this year. U.S. District Court Judge Steven McAuliffe rejected the state's motion to dismiss the lawsuit but says he has questions that must be resolved.
