VTC wins workforce training grant

RANDOLPH, Vt. -

Vermont Technical College is getting a big boost to help better train the state's workforce.

The Randolph school will get a 3.4 million dollar federal grant to go toward training programs that help support industries like agriculture, food production, waste disposal and energy production.

Vermont Tech President Phil Conroy says the grant will allow the school to improve upon its degree and college-level certificates and help meet trade employment needs.
