MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Mitt Romney's campaign is demanding the deadline in Vermont for military and overseas ballots be extended.
The campaign has sent letters to election officials in the state, written by former U.S. Veterans Affairs Secretary Anthony Principi on behalf of Romney, saying that the officials missed the September 22 deadline for mailing ballots to overseas and military voters.
Similar letters were sent to officials in Wisconsin, Mississippi and Michigan.
In Vermont, the delay is being blamed on the recount in the Progressive primary.
