Police in Hartford say an undercover sting stopped a pair of prolific graffiti artists.

Investigator say images were spray-painted on cars in the White River rail yard and nearby underpasses. Railroad officials say it costs $9,000 every time they have to refinish a boxcar.

So, Hartford police went undercover and caught two young men in the rail yard. Police say they had more than 90 spray paint cans in a backpack and a car parked nearby.

Police arrested Brian Dow, 23, and Daniel Barmore, 24, both of Hartford, on felony unlawful mischief charges.
