WATERBURY, Vt. -
Vermont's small population
of bald eagles is growing.
A decade ago, Vermont was
the only state without nesting pairs of the nation's symbol. The Vermont Fish
& Wildlife Department has been working hard to re-introduce the birds. And
they are calling this their most successful year yet, with 15 documented nests
and 23 new eaglets born and leaving the nest on their own.
