HARTFORD, Vt. -
The investigation is continuing in regards to a fatal accident on Interstate 91.
It happened at mile marker 73 in Hartford. Police say two cars were traveling south and the drivers of the cars saw what they believed to be a dead animal in the road. The vehicles were unable to avoid colliding with the object-- which police say was a person lying on the highway. 24-year- Mikhail Lomakin, of Norwich, was killed.
At this time police are not saying why Lomakin was lying on the road but are interested in speaking with anyone who was traveling on the Interstate early Saturday morning. They also want to speak with anyone who may have talked to Lomakin. An autopsy will be performed.
