The UVM Men's hockey team wins an exhibition contest with Concordia 7-1. Vermont Captain H.T. Lenz and freshman Robert Polesello net 2 goals apiece for the Cats.
The Vermont Women's hockey team jumps out to a 2-1 lead but falls to Penn State 5-3. It was the first game for new UVBM Head Coach Jim Plumer, and also the first game as a Division One program for the Nittany Lions.
