With the election less than a month away, officials in New Hampshire are scrambling to meet the requirements of the state's new voter ID law.
New Hampshire's Secretary of State says voters who are registered but don't have an acceptable ID can go to their clerk's office to get a voucher for a free voter ID card.
They then must go to the DMV to actually get the card. But they have to do it soon-- the Union Leader reports it takes about two weeks for the card to come in the mail.
On Election Day, voters without ID will be allowed to vote. They'll sign an affidavit and officials will confirm their identity in the days after the election.
