North Country airports get improvement grants

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. -

Three North Country airports are getting more than $1 million in upgrades with the money coming from the governor's newly-formed regional economic councils.

The Plattsburgh Press-Republican reports Massena Airport will get more than half of the grant money for a new hanger, and Ticonderoga Airport and Piseco Airport will both get a new fuel stations.

All of these upgrades are expected to bring more flights into the airports.
