ROCKINGHAM, Vt. -

An iconic covered bridge wiped out during Tropical Storm Irene is getting more help.

The Vermont League of Cities and Towns gave Rockingham about $200,000 to help replace the Bartonsville Bridge. The destruction of the bridge was captured on camera during the August 2011 storm.

The league has now paid more than $1 million toward fixing the bridge. That project is expected to cost $2.4 million.
