Spoiled ballots in Burlington

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A problem with spoiled ballots in Burlington.

The city says bad ballots made their way to 523 voters-- people who either voted early at City Hall or requested absentee ballots. Those people are receiving new ballots in the mail.

The city says any ballot that is gray will not be counted.

The newly-printed and correct city ballots are ivory, salmon, or cherry.

The error did not impact any votes on the state or federal level.
