MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Hunting season is upon us, and the state is again reminding anyone heading out to wear hunter orange.
Overall, hunting accidents remained low last year, but officials say in the past 10 years, almost half of hunting-related shootings might have been prevented if the hunters had worn fluorescent orange.
They say deer are not scared by the color because their vision is based more on movement than color.
