MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Police in Montpelier are looking for a man who they say may have tried to lure two boys into his truck.
Police say on Monday, two boys from the Lamoille Middle School soccer team were walking to the recreation field between 5:15 p.m. and 6 p.m. when a man in a black Toyota Tundra pickup approached them and asked if they wanted a ride. The boys refused, but they say the man then told them he insisted on it. Police say the boys were scared by the man's persistence and ran off.
The man is described as middle-aged with gray hair and a long white beard down to his chest. His truck had Vermont plates. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 802-223-3445.
