Taxpayers who sued over Burlington Telecom not giving up

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Burlington taxpayers who sued over the Burlington Telecom financial problems are not giving up.

The lawyer for two former city councilors says he will file an appeal asking a judge to reconsider the dismissal of the case.

Last month, the judge ruled that former chief financial officer Jonathan Leopold is immune from liability. The judge also said it's premature to consider civil action against BT before state regulators rule on the issue.
