Inspiring students to think about democracy

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

The Veterans of Foreign Wars group wants students to think about a big question-- is our Constitution still relevant? Students who want to weigh in can write an essay and enter a scholarship competition called the Voice of Democracy.

Lydia Ham is a senior at Lyndon Institute and she was a winner in last year's essay contest. Allston Gilmond is the State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The both appeared on The :30 to talk about the competition. Watch the video for more.
