Police recover stolen tractors in NY

It's rare in the heavy equipment business but a pair of stolen tractors stolen from our region have been recovered in New York.

Last week, two $40,000 tractors were stolen from Townline Equipment in Plainfield, N.H. But police tell the Valley News the tractors were found at an auction house in Binghamton, N.Y.

Mark Phillips, 26, of Vestal, N.Y., is being charged with receiving stolen property. It's unclear who stole the tractors and how Phillips ended up with them.

The investigation spans multiple states.
