BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The city of Burlington is launching a
new effort to figure out what to do with the old Moran plant.
The derelict power plant on the city
waterfront has been the subject of much public discussion over the years. Some
want to redevelop it; others want it torn down.
Mayor Miro Weinberger, D-Burlington,
pulled the plug on his predecessor's plans to lease the building to a Scottish
ice climbing company and other tenants.
Now, the city is seeking new ideas
from qualified designers and developers.
