More than one hundred UVM students can move back in following an early morning dorm fire.
Fire department spokespeople say the third floor of Wills Hall began filling with smoke shortly after 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.
At last check, investigators still had not determined a cause for the blaze.
Crews say a quick response was key.
Burlington Fire, Battalion Commander, Terry Francis said, "They have worked very hard to make these buildings very safe, and the system is what activated us - that there was an issue in the building before the students could even react to it."
Firefighters say campus dorms are outfitted with sprinklers as well as smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors.
In a release Saturday, UVM spokespeople say they expected to get students back in by about noon.
