Robbed at gunpoint

Posted: Updated:

Burlington Police are looking for two suspects involved in armed robbery Saturday.

The confrontation happened on Intervale Avenue near Crombie Street a little after 10 p.m. Police say the 25-year old male victim was approached by two other males demanding money. Police say one of the robbers pulled out a handgun and fired a shot. Police say the case is still under investigation and that the public needs to be cautious walking alone at night.

"Anytime somebody is robbed of course the public is going to be concerned. We would just suggest be aware of your surroundings we always emphasize that. Don't walk around in fear but be aware of what's going on around you," said Burlington Police Lt. Bruce Bovat.

The victim was treated and released.

The two suspects are described as black males in their early 20's. If anyone has details about the incident please contact Burlington Police Department.
