Vt. State Farm agent admits to embezzlement

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A Vermont-based State Farm agent has admitted to ripping off his clients.

Thomas Smith of Montgomery pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges. Investigators say over a three year period he swiped 400-thousand dollars from customers and spent it on himself. Smith now faces up to 20 years in jail and will have to repay his victims.
