BRISTOL, Vt. -
Police have released the name of the driver whose car went out of control and crashed at a soccer jamboree in Bristol Saturday, but they are asking the media not to release the name for fear the man could be in danger from angry community members.
The crash happened Saturday morning when the out of control SUV struck several people at Mt. Abraham Union High School. Police say they believe the 31-year-old Hinesburg man suffered a seizure and they do not anticipate bringing any charges against him. But with emotions running high in the community, Police Chief Kevin Gibbs says releasing the driver's name could put him and his family in danger.
