NORTH HAVERHILL, N.H. -
Construction is now under way on a new biomass plant in the Granite State.
The plant in North Haverhill will heat the Grafton County complex and is expected to save 90-thousand gallons of heating oil a year. The project costs 2.7 million dollars and is paid for by a grant from the federal government and leftover funds from a jail bond. The plant is expected to go online before next winter.
