The Vermont Ski and Snowboard museum is celebrating its tenth anniversary reflecting on its biggest changes -- including its name.
It started in Stowe as the Vermont Ski Museum in 2002, but added Snowboarding to the name this year. The winter sports world has evolved so much over the past decade that the museum says it needed to keep up -- especially since the modern snowboard was created in Vermont.
The museum also added a new snowboarding exhibit -- including Jake Burton Carpeter's first snowboard design.
The tenth anniversary celebrations wrap up this weekend with a concert from Jay Nash and the inductions of the newest class into the Hall of Fame.
