BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A pedestrian accident shut down a busy Burlington road Wednesday night for about an hour.
Police say 43-year-old Sheila Boyer of Burlington was crossing Riverside Avenue around 9 p.m. when she was hit by a car driven by 49-year-old Jan Dunlap of Hardwick.
Police say Boyer was under the influence of alcohol and was not in the crosswalk when she was hit, but that Dunlap had a suspended license.
Boyer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
