KILLINGTON, Vt. -
Killington's K1 gondola is resorting to cow power this winter.
The gondola will run on electricity generated from the GMP Cow Power program.
The cow power program collects the manure, then heats up it up and converts it to a bio-gas which is 60 percent methane, which then powers a generator feeding into the electric grid.
The resort is paying a premium price for the power, which also helps support Vermont's dairy farms.
