PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
Community leaders, educators and social services providers held a forum in Plattsburgh last night to outline a new partnership they believe will better prepare young kids to be ready to learn when they enter school. They say the "Thrive" program, as it's called, will increase the chances of them succeeding through their school years.
Through good nutrition and pre-K programs, the group hopes more kids will be ready to learn by the time they reach school, and in turn, improve graduation rates and better prepare students for college and careers.
