It's slow, scenic and peaceful in Plymouth, Vermont -- and that's exactly what this group of city slickers is looking for. They're unwinding in the Green Mountain State. It's a treat, or a retreat, to be exact. They're vacationing at a boutique home called Good Commons, designed for urban visitors.
"I woke up one morning and I heard this voice saying -- you will open a retreat center. And I don't normally hear voices, so I said, should I follow this voice? Said Tesha Buss, Good Commons' owner.
Five years later Buss' dream became reality. Good Commons plays host to everything from yoga vacations to foodie feasts. "People want a chance to peace out, if you will," Buss said.
Buss knows all too well about the need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. She's a former Broadway star -- her most acclaimed performance was in Cats. "I played Rumple Teaser. I was the cat and I did acrobatics as well," she said.
Buss is now happy to be out of the limelight, enjoying her new low-key life in Vermont, while setting the stage for others to enjoy it too.
