Voters in Bennington will decide the fate of an elementary school tonight.
The North Bennington Graded School could be closed and re-opened as an independent school, if residents approve. But there are still questions about finances, and some are concerned taxpayers may end up paying more.
School officials say declining numbers will make it difficult to avoid state penalties for higher-than-average pupil spending.
