MONTPELIER, Vt. -
Government forecasters are calling it 'Frankenstorm' and it could land here next Tuesday. The storm is an unusual mix of a hurricane and a winter storm.
The hurricane is Sandy and she made landfall last night in Cuba, ripping roofs off of homes with sustained winds of 105 miles an hour. No one in Cuba was killed but Sandy did claim four lives elsewhere in the Caribbean.
Forecasters are now warning that Sandy will mix with a winter storm, creating a super storm that could affect the entire East Coast from Florida to Maine -- and inland to Ohio.
Judy Simpson spoke with Vermont Public Safety Commissioner Keith Flynn to discuss how the state is preparing.
