OMYA to move Proctor laboratory to Ohio

PROCTOR, Vt. -

OMYA is relocating a Proctor laboratory to company headquarters in Cincinnati.

The Rutland Herald reports the technical lab employs 24 people. It will start the relocation process next year.

The company says it is too early to know how many of those jobs will remain in Vermont, or will be moved to Ohio.

This relocation does not affect the Calcium Carbonate plant in Pittsford, which employs more than a hundred people.
