NEWPORT, Vt. (AP) - The state will try for the second time to convict a Connecticut man of repeatedly shooting a Vermont woman in 2010.
The Caledonian-Record reports the second-degree attempted murder trial of Deontae McNeil in Charleston is scheduled to take place Dec. 6 in Orleans Superior Court.
His first trial, in June, ended in a mistrial.
The 25-year-old McNeil is accused of shooting Donelle Morin during a robbery attempt at her home. Another man, Andrew Ladouceur of Derby, is serving four to 12 years. He testified against McNeil.
McNeil has been imprisoned since his arrest in October 2010.
