Baby's death ruled accidental

MORRISVILLE, Vt. -

No charges will be filed in the untimely death of a baby in Morrisville.

Town police say the 7-month-old died in August. The investigation shows the infant died from positional asphyxiation from having been placed on an improperly inflated air mattress surrounded by loose bedding.

The Lamoille County prosecutor has ruled it an accidental death and will not pursue criminal charges.
