
WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) - Citing weather conditions, Vermont state officials are telling non-essential state employees not to report to work until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and the public that state offices will be closed until then.
All employees designated as essential personnel for reduced workforce situations, including Corrections, Public Safety, Institutions and Transportation Maintenance, are being told to report for work as normal.
Meanwhile, three emergency shelters have opened in southern Vermont: at the Rutland Regional Medical Center, Twin Valley Union High School in Wilmington and at the Mountain School in Winhall.
