Halifax post office route bridge reopens

HALIFAX, Vt. -

A bridge destroyed by Tropical Storm Irene is now back open.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports the bridge on Reed Hill Road in Halifax is not only back open to the public, but it has been improved over the old one, which washed away from last year's storm.

The town suffered about $4.5 million in damages from Irene.
