Private donation gives bike path a boost

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A private donation will help make improvements to Burlington's bike path.

The group Friends of the Island Line Trail gave the city $50,000. The money will be used as the local match to federal funding for fixing the path. Five sections of the path needed upgrading. Two sections are finished -- three remain.
