ORLEANS, Vt. -
A Brownington woman has been indicted for allegedly stealing 160-thousand dollars from her employer.
Forty-seven year-old Kimberly Brooks was a bookkeeper at Desmarais Equipment in Orleans. Federal prosecutors say she stole cash receipts and altered the deposit slips to hide the theft. She pleaded not guilty to wire fraud, interstate transportation of stolen money and forging checks.
