Commonwealth Dairy plans to expand in Brattleboro

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -

A dairy processor that opened a plant last year in Brattleboro is growing again.

Commonwealth Dairy, which makes Green Mountain Creamery Greek yogurt, says it plans to invest $12 million dollars in expanding its plant.

The company says they'll be adding 34 jobs to the hundred-plus people already working there.

The new investment will add more than 23,000 square feet to the facility and will include a new processing line.

The brand's greek yogurt was voted the best in the country at the most recent World Dairy Expo Championships.
