Chase through 2 Vt. towns overnight

BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. -

A chase through two Vermont towns overnight ended when the suspect's car went off the road.

Bellows Falls police say just before 1 a.m., they tried to stop a man on Rockingham Street. But the car took off, leading police on a high-speed chase on Route 103 into Rockingham, where it went off the road.

Both occupants fled the scene.

One man -- Colton Bratton of Bellows Falls -- was arrested. He's charged with attempting to elude police.
