14th annual Salute to Veterans Parade

MILTON, Vt. -

About one-thousand boy and girl scouts marched through Milton Saturday for the State's 14th Scouting Salute to Veterans parade.

The annual tradition dates back to 1999 and is hosted by a different community every year.

Organizers say the town is a good fit for the parade because the area is home to a large number of military families.

The event also marks the opening of Milton's 250th birthday celebration.
