New Hampshire's Secretary of State says he expects 7 out of every 10 New Hampshire residents over the age of 18 to head to the polls Tuesday.
Secretary of State Bill Gardner told the Union Leader he expects New Hampshire's turnout to be around 722,000 voters, or 70 percent of the voting age population.
In the last presidential election, about 720,000 New Hampshire residents voted -- a nearly 70-percent turnout. That's the second highest in the nation, only behind Minnesota.
That turnout is nearly20 to 30 percent higher than the national average.
