Island Pond man jailed in meth lab case

ISLAND POND, Vt. -

A man arrested after a meth lab bust in Island Pond last year will spend years behind bars.

Authorities raided a home on Railroad Street in Island Pond last November, allegedly finding a meth lab in a ground floor apartment.

Frank Santaw, 29, of Island Pond, accepted a plea deal admitting he purchased large amounts of Sudafed to use in making meth.

He was sentenced to 6.5 years behind bars.

Nine other co-defendants in that case have pleaded guilty and are facing sentencing next year.
