Hassan has been elected as governor of New Hampshire.
Hassan beat out
Republican Ovide Lamontagne for the win.
Hassan promised
Tuesday night to work find common ground with Republicans.
Lamontagne said he is
disappointed, especially with the negative ads in the campaign.
Hassan, a former
state Senate majority leader, succeeds John Lynch, who served four two-year
terms and is retiring.
