BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Tuition is headed up again at the
University of Vermont, but not as much as previous years.
UVM's new president, Tom Sullivan, signaled
at a trustees meeting Wednesday that he will recommend a tuition hike of less
than 3 percent for next year. That would be the smallest increase in 36 years.
Sullivan says his administration is
working on finding the right balance between tuition and financial aid to keep
UVM affordable and accessible to Vermonters.
Tuition rose 3.5 percent for this
current school year and 4 percent the year before.
