HINESBURG, Vt. -
Hannaford has cleared a big hurdle in its effort to build a new grocery store in Hinesburg.
Tuesday night, the town's Development Review Board approved the project, two years after the Maine-based grocery store chain filed its original application.
Plans call for a 36,000-square-foot store in Hinesburg's commercial park on Commerce Street.
The project still needs Act 250 approval from the state.
