BURLINGTON, Vt. -
One of Burlington's iconic food stores, the Fresh Market, is up for sale.
A sign on the front door says "Closed for inventory," but real estate broker Tony Blake says the business is no longer operating. Blake represents the owners, who have had the business on the market for a couple of months.
Blake says representatives from downtown grocery store City Market were recently checked out the store as a possible site for expansion, but determined the space is too small.
