TICONDEROGA, N.Y. -
Police are on the hunt for a prescription pill robber in Ticonderoga.
Authorities say just after 6 p.m. Thursday, a man entered the Rite Aid on Route 9N with a note demanding prescription pain medications.
He implied he was armed with a handgun, but did not show one. Police say he then fled with the pills.
K-9 teams and an aviation unit searched the area without success.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 6' to 6'3" tall, 180 lbs., wearing a brown Carhartt jacket, jeans and sneakers.
Rite Aid has offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
