Woman accused of trying to smuggle drugs into prison

NEWPORT, Vt. -

Police say a Colchester woman tried to smuggle drugs into a state prison.

According to police, Sheryl Vuley, 46, of Colchester, smuggled a small package of drugs into the Newport State Correctional Facility during visiting hours back in June.

They say she was trying to give the drugs to an inmate, 45-year-old Kenneth Bailey.

She's due in court in January.
